conscience TAXES FOR PEACE NOT WAR, works for a world where taxes are used to nurture peace, not pay for war. We campaign for a progressive increase in the amount of UK tax spent on peacebuilding, and a corresponding decrease in the amount spent on war and preparation for war. We also campaign for the legal right of those with a conscientious objection to war to have the entire military part of their taxes spent on peacebuilding.

This petition is for people who have a moral or religious objection to military spending on the grounds of conscience and wish to declare their objection to the UK government. We believe that a statement similar to the one in this petition should be included in the official tax return produced by HMRC.

Your submission will be sent to conscience TAXES FOR PEACE NOT WAR. Unfortunately HMRC do not provide many email addresses with which to contact them; however, conscience will collate all the submissions and these will be given to HMRC at the end of the tax year.
