About the Event

After a short business meeting, we will review our progress over the last 12 months and begin to discuss and debate our plans for the future of the Conscience campaign.

This will be followed by a roundtable discussion on the topic of “What would a Minister for Peace do?”

Last November, Jeremy Corbyn announced the appointment of Fabian Hamilton as the First Shadow Minister for Peace and Disarmament. Mr Corbyn said he “want(s) to see a foreign policy based on peace, based on democracy, based on human rights and based on justice”.

Conscience will be raising money to undertake research into the how a Minister for Peace would work in Government.  Conscience wants to shape the development of this new position and this is your opportunity to contribute your ideas about how the Minister would operate and what its priorities would be.

Come and join us for a lively and informative discussion…
